Canvas is the fullfillment of a dream for husband and
wife owners Chris and Anna Gatti.
Chris met Anna at the Culinary Institute of America
in New York. After graduation Anna and Chris continued
to learn and grow as Chefs. Anna has worked as a Pastry
Chef with Marietta's Gabriel's Desserts and Atlanta's
Canoe. She worked as the Executive Chef of the Albemarle
Inn, an Asheville, North Carolina landmark.
Chris has
worked as the Executive Chef of Horizons Restaurant in
Asheville's Grove Park Inn. The restaurant is rated AAA
4 Diamond and earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.
Chris last worked as Executive Chef for Proof of the
Pudding at the Georgia Convention Center. As Executive
Chef he was responsible for providing meals for groups
as small as 10 and as large as 10,000.
With Canvas the
couple now has the opportunity to own their own restaurant
and to work together. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual.
Chris runs the kitchen creating a menu of gourmet sandwiches
and salads. Anna runs the bakery each day creating a
wide variety of decadent treats and cakes from scratch.
